▪ LinomthaID is a solution to the old schisms between safe and efficient identity verification and privacy compliance. It has long been known that using a hash of the individuals biometric information as the primary key to that individual’s information is an efficient way to guard against identity fraud, but this opens up to severe risk of “Big Data” abuse of the stored data. By “Big Data” we mean the set of the data to mine and utilize the stored data for commercial purposes without regard to the confidentiality and ownership of the data.
▪ LinomthaID proves that the right combination of private and Government guarding combined with rigorous compliance with laws and ethics can create a solution that is efficient and safe for the individual. The foundation of the system is a database that only holds the basic identification information of the individual such as biometric data, name and residence. This database is used to gain correct access to customer databases, but cannot be used to create relations between individual information over different customer databases.
▪ LinomthaID accepts that even very firm process control cannot guarantee against internal fraudulent behaviour, but the rigorous audit system and work flow protocol secures that any undue registration or verification can be tracked directly not only to the involved individual, but also to the customer employed individual that initiated the undue action. The principles behind this database is that the individual is the owner of the data, a Government institution is the Guardian and LinomthaID is the Gate Keeper.
